A Breeze House gazebo weathered to grey
This Breeze House circular gazebo in Kelsey Park, Beckenham, was installed 11 years ago, along with its table and benches. It had weathered to grey and needed some proper care.
Sanding the roof, table and benches by machine and hand
Everything was sanded: the building, its wooden roof, the table and the benches, by electric sander on the flat and by hand in the grooves and small sections. A jet wash then cleared the dust and the algae.
Then the varnish: two coats of Sadolin Extra exterior in Burma Teak, over every surface we had sanded.
Burma Teak varnish for a Kelsey Park gazebo
The gazebo, its roof and the furniture are all back in a warm Burma Teak. Two coats should see it, and the table and benches, through the next ten to fifteen summers.
Before and after
Weathered grey and dirt in the decking grooves, then varnish right into them.
